Overview
Standing at 4,566 metres (14,980 ft), Mount Meru is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain and the fifth-highest peak in Africa. Located within Arusha National Park, Mount Meru offers a spectacular trekking experience through diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, alpine meadows, and volcanic landscapes.
Often used as an acclimatization climb before Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru is a rewarding adventure in its own right. Trekkers enjoy incredible wildlife encounters, breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and the dramatic volcanic crater that makes this mountain unique.
